PLAYER EVALUATION

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To get started, simply call or text us at (832) 363-7741 or email us at mitennisacademy@gmail.com to schedule an evaluation.

Step 1: Player Evaluation
Coach Giovanni and Coach Vesko will conduct a 1-hour private evaluation session to assess the player’s:

  • Fundamentals

  • Experience level

  • Physical strength and fitness

  • Most importantly: mental toughness

 

Step 2: Training Plan
Based on the evaluation, the coaches will create a customized 6-month training plan designed to meet both the player's and the parent's goals.

 

Step 3: Initial Commitment
To begin training, a 10-hour private lesson package is required.

 

Step 4: Accountability Tools
Players will receive a training journal and a set of academy rules to follow throughout the program.

 

Step 5: Parent Evaluation
Finally, we conduct a parent evaluation to ensure alignment and support for the player’s development journey.

Yes! We train our parents as well. 

Fee $150 - If potential client signs up the $150 will go towards sign up total.

Footwork & Positioning Mastery

Knowledge of footwork and positioning is essential to developing a top-tier tennis game. At our academy, we emphasize that players must not only know the different court positions, but also understand when and how to use them effectively.

Footwork and positioning are critical components of match play strategy. They impact shot selection, timing, and recovery — ultimately determining the outcome of each point. Whether it's baseline defense, neutral rally positioning, or transitioning to the net, each scenario demands a specific stance and movement pattern.

We expect our players to master these movements through repetition, awareness, and situational drills. Understanding positioning isn’t optional — it’s foundational to playing smart, efficient, and winning tennis.

Before moving forward in our training program, each player must demonstrate proficiency in the basic tennis fitness exercises. We believe that once a player has mastered the fundamentals and understands match strategy, success ultimately comes down to two key pillars:
