MITA's DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
1
Mastering the Fundamentals
The foundation of every great player begins with perfecting the fundamentals. Without a strong technical base, players often feel “stuck” — unable to beat stronger opponents or even struggling against those they should be able to defeat. Before we can talk about match strategy, we must ensure players have the tools.
Private lessons are required at this stage to address and correct technical weaknesses.
2
Ball Control & Short Court MasteryMany players skip past short court drills too quickly, never fully developing the consistency needed for full-court rallies. We emphasize short court mastery to enhance ball control and reduce unforced errors. Using pressure-based Spanish drills, we challenge players to become disciplined and consistent. This stage combines Private Lessons & Conversion Training.
3
Conversion Training – Applying Skills to MatchesNow we shift from technical training to application. Players must learn how to apply what they’ve learned in matches. Through our Conversion Training, we simulate match scenarios to build awareness, strategy, and confidence under pressure.Advanced players are enrolled in Private Lessons + Conversion Training from the beginning.
4
Mental Training & Responsibility Development
Success in competition requires more than skill — it requires independence and mental strength. We assign players responsibilities and teach them to self-manage, boosting their composure and decision-making. We also work closely with parents to improve communication styles that support performance.
5
Fitness & Nutrition OptimizationOnce fundamentals, match play, and mental toughness are solid, we shift focus to physical conditioning and nutrition. At this stage, players are ready to compete at higher levels, and fitness and nutrition become essential to reaching their full potential.
